الكثير من مباني مدينة باخموت بنيت على مداخل المناجم القديمة التي ترتبط بالأنفاق بشكل مباشر، ويمكن الانتقال عبرها من مكان لآخر عبر عربات قطار وسكك حديدية التي تستخدم لاستخراج الفحم الحجري والملح الصخري والمرمر
